2018 NEW YEAR'S EVE OOTN!
Happy New Year's Eve!
For many of us, 2017 was a hard and challenging year. I know I've had my fair share of highs and lows, but the things I really try to stay focused on are all the accomplishments and happiness that have come into my life. I also think it's important to remember that we can only get better from this point on. If there is that something you want to get better at, or a hobby you want to start, 2018 is the perfect year to do so! In Asian cultures, the number 8 is a lucky number. Let's make 2018 the luckiest year of our lives.
I'm going to start off 2018 with a bang by showing you my outfit for tonight's NYE festivities!!
This silvery champagne romper was purchased on Lulu's last year, and I never had the chance or occasion to wear this until now. It's super festive (and super silky - you know how much I love silky) and most importantly, super comfortable. Honestly, it is like wearing silk pajamas. I paired this romper with a pair of Stuart Weitzman Highland boots in Gray. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'll probably also wear tights tonight because it is just about 10 degrees fahrenheit (-12 celsius) in NYC at the moment.
The jewelry I'm wearing is a combination of different brands (I'll be doing a blog post on this soon!).
Normally for larger occasions like this, I amp up my makeup a bit more than my everyday look. This means whatever I do on a daily, I'll add a bit more to emphasize certain features. For example, I use contour/bronzer every day but I'll use just a bit more for an all-over glam bronzed glow (Chanel Soleil de Tan for bronzer and Too Faced chocolate contour). For my eyes, I created a simple gold/black smokey eye with my The Balm "Nude 'Tude" palette. And for my lips a glossy nude lip does the trick - I used a combination of Urban Decay Lipstick in "Sheer Liar" and Smashbox lipgloss in "Coraline".
This concludes my NYE 2018 look. I hope you all have a wonderful, festive, and safe New Year's Eve! Let's get ready to party!! xoxo
