Free Hugs! I don't bite
So I wanted to try an outfit that was a little bit out there. Loosely inspired by nautical themes, I paired these wild striped cropped trousers with a flowy transparent shirt. I'm not exactly sure what inspired me to wear this; I think being in NYC exposes you to some pretty wild street fashion and design. This is definitely not what I would call "wild", but there is still that element in this outfit.
There is a casualness to this outfit as well - and I think it comes from the style of the cropped pant legs. The fun crazy colored stripes really helps bring this outfit down a bit and makes it much more playful. Whenever I am wearing cropped pants, I usually like to wear shoes with a heel - it helps elongate the legs; otherwise, wearing flats will make your pants look about 5 sizes too short (or maybe that just happens to me).
It's Friday guys! What are you all doing today/tonight? It has become a running tradition for me, on Friday nights, to hang out with one of my best friends in the city - running around and wreaking havoc. I think this is the perfect outfit to do so, as it is still slightly dressy while also being very playful!
Whenever I am wearing a low-cut V neck top, I like to wear a necklace to balance it out. The necklace I am wearing is one of my favorites because it is so simple and can go with any outfit - it is a gold choker from Madewell. Can you spot the running theme throughout this week-long look book? I love to buy items that are versatile because you can get the most wear out of them. It also helps to ground your personal style because layering your go-to pieces really helps paint the picture of who you are and what you're all about.
I would love to know your favorite go-to pieces of clothing or jewelry. Please let me know in the comments down below :)
